Old photographs of Bulkington
Several years ago we were given copies of many old, but wonderful, photographs of Bulkington in times gone by. These photographs used to be on display in the Village Hall but modern technology took over so we are now able to share them on here and occasionally on our Facebook pages where they seem to generate a good deal of interest.

These two documents are especially fascinating.

The first, shown here on the left, is the certificate presented on 30th May 1903 to Ellen Harrell from The Girls Friendly Society Marriage on the occasion when she married John Jacob Bodman Hicks.

The second document, shown right, was that which was sent to the next of kin of Sgt John Jacob Bodman Hicks to advise of his death in battle in The Great War
